VISITOR OPEN DAYS

The Horses Health Farm Visitor Centre was set up in 1997 in response to public interest in the work that we do here. In recent times the expansion of the on site Dalehead Equine Clinic and the increase in patients having treatment or surgery means that we have strictly limited the number of public open days we can offer as we are first and foremost a working yard and a professional and peaceful atmosphere is essential for the wellbeing of our equine patients.

However – we have now established a series of Open Days when members of the public may come along and see some of the work that is done here.

Many people love to visit us, saying that the highlight of a visit is seeing the horses swimming which is a rare insight into the equine world. Our team of Shetland ponies are on hand to give children a hands on experience as they love to be groomed and fussed over. The shiniest Shetlands in England by the end of August!!
